Overview PV running time



With this function block, consumers can be switched on and off depending on the PV surplus. A maximum running time can be specified here. For example, for a filter pump that should run 8 hours per day. During the day the pump runs only on surplus; the rest of the running time is then switched on in the evening. The accumulated running time survives a restart of the controller and is reset once a day at the configured hour.

The surplus control and the manual start only take effect in the operating mode Automatic. In On resp. Off the consumer is switched on or off permanently; a pending manual start is only carried out after switching back to Automatic.

 PV surplus, a positive value means PV surplus.
LZ Running time hours Running time in hours. If the output FV is on, the running time is added up until this time is reached. If this input is not assigned, a running time of 0 hours applies and the consumer is not switched on.
SM Start manual With a positive edge at this input the consumer is switched on for the remaining running time. This input can be activated, for example, with a time switch. When the remaining time has elapsed, the connected variable is set to 0, so with the time switch only a 1 needs to be set. The manual start only takes effect in the operating mode Automatic and is carried out regardless of the input FG. A running manual start survives a restart of the controller. If the input is already at 1 when the controller starts, this is not treated as an edge.
RS Reset running time Manual reset of the running time. With a positive edge the accumulated running time (LA) is set to 0, so the remaining running time (LR) starts again at the specified running time (LZ). If the input is already at 1 when the controller starts, this is not treated as an edge.
FG Enable external Optional external enable. If this input is not assigned, the control is always enabled. Otherwise the control is only enabled when a value other than 0 is present at the input. This input can be used to halt the control when, for example, another consumer is to have priority. For a manual start via the input SM the enable is not evaluated.

LA
 Running time current
 Accumulated running time in hours, as long as the output FV is switched on - that is also in the operating mode On and during the manual start in the evening. The value is output with two decimal places (0.01 hours).
LR Running time remaining Remaining running time in hours (LZ minus LA). The value does not become negative and is output with two decimal places (0.01 hours).

Parameters
Power consumer
 Power of the consumer, in the same unit as the input PU. The consumer is switched on as soon as the surplus reaches at least this power plus minimum surplus.
Time control
 Time in which it is checked whether surplus is present and the consumer is switched on/off. The time acts in both directions: after a switching operation the consumer is only switched on or off again once this time has elapsed.
Minimum surplus
 Minimum surplus that must at least be present for the control to begin. Switching on takes place from a surplus of power of the consumer plus minimum surplus, switching off as soon as the surplus falls below minimum surplus.
Autom. reset hour Time at which the running time is reset. 0 means the running time is reset at 0:00h. If the controller was switched off at that time, the reset is made up for after the start; the running time is reset only once a day.
